Serving you through COVID-19

We’re a modern, online business and as a result, we are well equipped for business continuity.  We continue to deliver much needed value to landlords, property managers and tenants through the UK-wide lockdown.

Access to our Digital Assistant app, Rightmove, Zoopla and PrimeLocation remain uninterrupted.

By using our Digital Assistant app during this challenging time you can stay in control of your properties and tenancies by maintaining direct contact with your tenants or landlord and utilising our platform raise, manage and track any essential repairs and emergencies.

RentiD’s back-office infrastructure is cloud based with all operations including call centre already home working prior to the current situation.

Of course, due to the current lockdown measures we are currently unable to offer services such as managed viewings, property inspections, check-ins/outs and house sitting appointments. Rent On Time Guaranteed is also currently unavailable to new customers but we hope to reinstate this soon.

What exactly is the RentiD Digital Assistant?

The RentiD Digital Assistant is an online tool designed to help both landlords and tenants. It is cloud hosted software, designed to work brilliantly on both smart phones and desktop computers with an internet connection. The RentiD Digital Assistant will also soon be an app.

Through the Digital Assistant, RentiD aims to assist landlords in self-managing their property portfolios. The tool guides landlords and tenants through the letting process, facilitates good communication between all parties and provides access to relevant products and services at competitive prices.

All this is backed up by an experienced lettings team. We are an accredited member of The Property Ombudsman which is a free, impartial and independent service for the resolution of unresolved disputes between consumers and property agents.

Where in the country does RentiD cover?

RentiD currently operates a service for rental properties situated in England only due to some variations in lettings legislation across the UK and our coverage for certain services.

Landlords can still manage their properties using the RentiD Digital Assistant from anywhere in the world subject to a suitable internet connection and any relevant data charges.

As our Digital Assistant develops and as our network of service coverage expands, we hope to be able to bring RentiD to landlords and tenants in the rest of the mainland UK and further afield in the near future.

Landlords

How long does my subscription last and is it refundable?

Your subscription to RentiD provides access to our Digital Assistant for 12 months and covers one property unit i.e. home or room in a House of Multiple Occupancy (HMO). If you would like to add additional properties to our service, you will need to pay for additional subscriptions.

Subscriptions to RentiD are not refundable or transferable should you sell or transfer ownership of your property during any 12 month subscription period. Similarly, should you transfer the rights to manage your property to a property manager or letting agent the same applies.

We do however offer a money back guarantee with RentiD with Digital Assistant Plus within the first 30 days, so long as services like photography and floor plans have not been delivered and the property has not been listed on Rightmove or Zoopla or PrimeLocation.

What do I get for my subscription?

RentiD with Digital Assistant Plus comes with up to two listings on Rightmove, Zoopla and PrimeLocation for up to 12 weeks at a time, a place to store your important documents and communicate with your tenants and a whole host of management tools including access to a repairs and maintenance management platform and the AXA Partners network of emergency repairers powered by Fixflo.

RentiD with Digital Assistant Plus also comes with our data entry and copywriting service and eight professional property photographs and floor plans to get your property all set-up and ready to market with minimal effort.

What other services do you offer?

Everything you may need as a landlord to market and manage your property and depending on whether you want to be hands-on with your established suppliers or being hands-off as you manage your portfolio from the poolside when on holiday.   We offer EPCs and gas safety inspections to managed viewings and visits to inventory with checking-in and out services and more.

How much can I save by being with RentiD?

RentiD is cost effective enough to run alongside your current agent if you feel they are doing a great job but want more control.

However, we believe you can save over £1,000 per property per year with RentiD versus going to a High Street lettings agent.  We’ve based this calculation on the UK average monthly rent of £926 pcm (source: Hometrack 2017), a management fee of 10% and other additional costs usually not included in management fees like referencing and contract renewals.

For properties inside of London where private rents average £1,590 pcm and some High Street lettings agents are charging upwards of 22% fees, your savings could run to over £4,000 per year.

Even versus many online letting agents offering a tenant finding only service, we can help you save by listing your property on Rightmove, Zoopla and PrimeLocation for less. Not to mention you are getting access to our suite of management tools as part of your subscription. Landlords and Property Managers do more with RentiD.

What’s the catch?

There is no catch.  Our costs are up-front, transparent and aside from RentiD Pro they are fixed.  If your properties are in London we do not hike up our prices unlike some of our competitors.  All we ask is that on top of your subscription you ensure your tenants are comprehensively referenced at the beginning of any new tenancy.

Is there anything specific I should know about Rent On Time Guaranteed?

Unfortunately due to the current COVID19 crisis we are currently not able to offer our Rent On Time Guaranteed service at this time.

Property Managers

I’m a property manager who markets and manages properties on behalf of landlords. Can I use RentiD?

Sure thing!  You can enjoy all the benefits of RentiD to help save you hassle, risk and cost to free up your time.  We do however ask property managers to secure confirmation from their landlords that they have permission to let their properties.  It’s a little extra procedure at registration but necessary to prevent unauthorised subletting and for greater transparency.  If you are a property manager and have further questions, please contact our Business Development Team at sales@rentid.co.uk

Is my personal data safe with RentiD?

We take the responsibility that comes with holding our customers’ data very seriously.  RentiD runs and stores all documents in an environment that is certified for all major privacy and security standards.  Furthermore, we are registered with the Information Commissioners Office.  For our data privacy policy click here.

How are payments handled by RentiD?

On-line payments for subscriptions to RentiD and add-on services are handled by Stripe – a global payments provider trusted by millions of businesses worldwide including many famous UK online retailers. Our telephone payments are handled by Worldpay, a top 5 global payments provider also used by over a million businesses worldwide.  Both Stripe and Worldpay safe keep all our customers’ payment card details.  RentiD is PCI (Payment Card Industry) security compliance certified.
